About Us

Our founder didn’t set out to build a therapy centre. She set out to find one — and couldn’t.

Kompass Zentrum was founded by a mother who watched her own teenager struggle — and discovered how hard it was to find support that was timely, warm, and genuinely human. As an expat family, the challenge was even sharper: most available options were in German only, and the few English-speaking services either had months-long waiting lists or came without the early, holistic approach she was looking for.

So she built the place she had once needed. A space that doesn’t pathologise teenagers or overwhelm parents — but meets both where they actually are.

We are a team of therapists, psychologists, counselors, coaches, and educators — working across English, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Swedish, and Greek. Our approach brings together evidence-based therapy, positive psychology, and creative expression — always in service of each family’s unique path.

Our team is clinically supervised by Dr. Aristea Mastoraki, a consultant psychologist with international experience supporting children, teens, and families across nine countries. That supervision means every family at Kompass benefits from both the warmth of individual practitioners and the rigour of shared clinical oversight.

We believe every teenager deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported — not diagnosed and dismissed. And every parent deserves to be able to turn toward their child, even in the hard moments, with steadiness and love.

We hold space for the messy parts of adolescence — the rebellion, the retreat, the big questions — as necessary steps in becoming oneself. Not symptoms to be managed, but signals to be understood.
